maybe this was a SP2 so called improvement, but i do not like it. every once in a while outlook express starts compacting my folders without warning. i prefer this to be done manually when i don't have to sit and wait for it

If I have a computer that has 1 gig of ram and I only have one application open at a time, do I really need to have file swap enabled? I know that "rule of thumb" of 1.5 the ram for swap file but it gets really ridiculous when you are running a computer with 1 gig or more of ram. I ...

I have a folder which always opens on startup of windows XP home. It's not in the startup folder. Doesn't seem to cause a problem it's just annoying. Can Msconfig get rid of it ? I cant seem to find any reference to it anywhere. Cheers
