I know in Windows 98 you can run the msinfo32 to edit startup items. Can someone please tell me how to edit the startup items in Windows XP. I am not referring to the basic startup items under the start menu but the "hidden" startup items.

When I click on customize from the taskbar and start menu properties window and then click on the clear button a message comes up that says "Recent is a Windows system folder and is required for Windows to run properly. It cannot be deleted." How can i get this message to stop?
