I have installed Linux Fedora Core 3 on another HD and I was not
satisfied with it. Linux has rewritten the MBR on the Windows HD and now
I have the Linux boot loader. How can I restore the original master boot
record (only with Windows)? Can anyone help me?

I have just set up two new WinXP Home SP2 PCs for a friend. Both PCs
are HP t790.uk "top of the range" identical machines. I have connected
a broadband ADSL modem/router to one PC which is wired from its

I would like to add an item to the Right-Click menu for the .bmp file type.
I have done this with other file types by going to Folder Options -> File
Types -> Advanced. However, when I select the BMP file type from the list,

I have had a difficult time with this installation I keep getting a set up
error when I install xp service pack 2.
The error reads: Service Pack 2 could not back up registry value.

I'm running Media Center Edition, and just upgraded to SP2. Now when I select
a folder in Windows Explorer, it no longer shows me at the bottom of the
window the size of the folder's contents, or the amount of specae left on the

I posted this question before.  The suggested solution didn't work.  Is there
acorrection I can make to the registry to correct rhe following problem?  If
