My ad blocker (Norman) reported that attempts were being made to alter some
registry keys.  I blocked them, but now I can't launch anything hardly.

Anyone know how to run a program as a service?
I want a program to run as a service so it will be available even if no one
is logged on.

I have a notebook with the option to boot from USB.
I have a USB HD with an already installed and working version of WinXP
(it works if I ust the HD internally).
If I just use this HD connected to the USB port (and no internal HD
