have just upgraded xp on my pc. i have 2 hd, i 6gdand other 80gb, had to
partition because my windows98 was an upgrade over windows95. so i have
several seperate drives!!.
xp is on drive c which is only 2gb - can i move it to one of the larger ones?

I have a PC with 2 hard disks, one with Windows XP SP2 (Primary) and another
with Linux "Caixa Mágica 8.1" - Portuguese Version - (Slave).
When I installed Linux I disconnect the disk with Windows because I don't
wanted that Linux change the primary disk.

I would like to configure my domain PCs to always leave the NIC on.  Windows
XP turns the NIC off after a while to save power.  I occasionally need to
access PCs after hours for maintenance, I find that people who left early and
not used the computer, the NIC shuts itself off ...

I am having a huge prob with the number of tasks... and its slowing down my
pc loads, never was this slow.  How can I stop the tasks from starting up
from boot, and also what I need to keep it at the best it can.   I think

   I just made a shortcut to my network (NT Server) Outlook directory in
my local (XP Pro) doc/settings...When I open Outlook it creates an "Outlook"
directory even though there already exists a shortcut with the same name.
Why does Outlook do this, and how can I have two entries ...

Hi, I just installed windows XP pro and I don't seem to have a desktop or

I have been unable to get my XP2 stations to allow the
\\server\admin$ and the \\server\C$ to work on remote

I am looking for instructions on how to remove an item from the taskbar if
you are not using the program. I don't want to completely remove the program
from my computer, just the shortcut. I'm brand new to Windows XP, formerly

I've got several partitions (local, not network shares) mounted
inside folders. "C:\D&S\myusername\My Documents" is drive J:\
(FAT32), "C:\D&S\All Users\Documents" is drive H:\ (NTFS), etc.

I am having trouble with setting an XP SP2 box to join a domain.  There are 4
WinXP sp2 boxes that are joined to a domain called ABC (Win2K server).  When
I try to join a 5th box I get an error saying the domain can’t be found.
