Everytime I insert my thumb drive I get this pop up that asks me what I want
to do.  How do I turn that off??

Why would the domain not be available?
I tried to add a user to the local Administrators group and found the domain
was not available in the "Locations" block.  It also showed a alphanumeric
ID (S-1-5-etc.) where the Domain Admin account should be in Administrators.

In my 'add/remove programs' application within Control Panel there is a
large gap between the end of the "n's" and the beginning of the "p's"
entries. If you click on the blank area in-between it turns blue as if there
was a program entry but the details are invisible.

I've had a series of problems tonight [with Windows XP Home] and have
used the microsoft help topics and newsgroup advice to fix all of them

I bought and paid for this computer, and the new XP Professional OS software
separately  (I am not trying to hack someone else's).  I apparently set an
Administrator acct. password and 'hint' at some point but I don't recall
