I'm looking to change the Bitmap that appears on the logon screen on our XP Workstations (SP1). I know it resides in the MSGina.dll but what is the correct (Microsoft) way to modify and replace this file? Thanks

I have a multi boot system with 2 hard drives configured as follows: I have one hard drive with Windows ME. One partition. Checking in Windows XP under Disk Managment, this drive is labeled as: Disk2-Vol 1 (C:). Primary partition. (It, also, states SYSTEM).

I removed (manually, as the uninstaller was not able to do it) McAfee Firewall from my pc and installed Zone Alarm Suite, but Security Center keeps to tell me "one of the firewalls installed is working". I would like to make Windows understand there is just a firewall installed

Trying to improve performance with my Win XP Pro system, I reset all system services to start manually. My thoughts were that on restart, I could see what services started and then set them to Automatic, thus having only necessary services running after bootup. Bad idea

I want to lock down everything so that the only thing that a user can see is my application on the desktop. He shouldn't even see any folders. Maybe just one folder, where he can save the results. Is it possibe to do this easily?
