There are currently 25 files in my recycle bin (I know because if I select
"Empty Recycle Bin" it tells me there are 25 items).  However, no files are
displayed in the bin directory.  I have tried every optional View setting I
can think of, but nothing helps.

Hello, was wondering if anybody can help me.
Windows XP-Pro boots up to the logon screen normally, i can logon to
the PC and the desktop background will come up but no icons or taskbar
will load up. I can press ctrl/alt/del and get the task manager to open.

The machine in question is in an unsupervised, Kiosk type environement. The
computer is a stand-alone XP pro. It reboots itself once a day. The OS
automatically logs on a user with limited permissions after each reboot. I
have put a shortcut of the application in the Startup ...

If I right Click a File and say Sent to..
It takes about 15 Secs for the list to appear.  I can hear my (E:) DVD/CD
RW+ Spinning up.
Then when the Send To.. list appears -  E: (Title of curent DVD or CD)

  Can anyone tell me, how can i set the timer for shutting down my system
(destop) ? i am using Windos Xp Pro .

I'm considering installing a second WindowsXP operating on my
other hard drive. Currently xp is installed on a 40gb NTFS (C:).
The other hard drive is currently a 12gb FAT (D:). Should I allow
the xp installation to change the file system D: is using to NTFS?

I'm still trying to find a way to remove a Trojan from my PC.  It's still
on-board.  I tried to update MS's AS's AS files and the program claims it
can't see a connection to the Internet.  So I can't get an update.  Is this
