i need to change the proxy in the dial up settings for some stand alone home
pc's. the easiest way seems to just give them a script or registry key on the
floppy/cd and have them click on it at home. can anyone point me in the right

Hi. I have xp installed on 2 hard drives for dual boot. I try to change the
name of the os on D: but sometimes it doesn't get saved. Is there a
max on the number of characters one can use for the name?  Or is it

I was trying to see if I could deny a user from accessing the CD-ROM drive
under Windows XP Pro.

I admin a medium sized LAN with NT Domain. Clients are generally win2k and
