I have a compaq laptop & win xp sp1. When i choose turn off from the start
menu the stand by option is gray and i cannot press it, how can i fix this?

In all of my apps and even in the Run box of WINXP w/SP2, the entry cursor

Whats the best option. After taking someones advice, and I hope they are

I have two hard drives, C: and D:  My recycle bin only works for my D: drive,
items deleted from the C: drive do not show up.  I have looked under
"properties" for the recycle bin, and there is no tab for the C: drive.  How
do I reestablish a bin for the C: drive?

Just built new pc.  Tried to install Windows XP but used "upgrade cd" in
error.  I have full product disk but now install procedure loops.  Switch on
PC and if no CD in drive then will not proceed past Boot disk prompt.  If

when  i try to down load off the net  by right clicking , the pop up menu
