Disk degframnetnter in the management consolde and system tool both does not work, it pops up an rpc error but my rcp services are running. teh strange thing is i can click the analize and defrag buttons but nothing happens

I recently did a clean install of WinXP on a new hard drive with one user, myself. It logged on automatically but, as I am populating it with software, it has stopped logging on automatically. I suspect something called Genie Backup Manager and have removed it but to no avail.

The Language bar keeps showing up on the Windows XP taskbar after logging in, no matter if I reboot, logout, logout then reboot, or what. Every time I log in I have to right-click on the taskbar and choose Toolbars==>Language bar to de-select it.
