How can I manage an ASR Backup without a floppy disk. XP will allow me to run a backup but without a floppy disk drive I cannot work out how I can save the necessary files that should go on the floppy. I have a CD - can I just burn those files onto the CD as the machine will

When I click on Safely Remove Hardware, the hardware list includes the PC's hard disk drives. To avoid the risk of accidentally disabling a HDD, is it possible to stop these appearing the list? Kev

I had two (separate) XPPRO's installed in partitions C: and D: on my main HD. I say had, because I just formatted and got rid of the second one for now as my Bluetooth Keyboard wouldn't work in the second one unless I removed and added it back.

Obviously each user can set his/her own screen saver and power options settings, but I would like to alter the default settings if possible. Hopefully, I can prevent the monitor from shutting down when nobody is logged in. Is this possible?

Two people share a home computer. Each has a profile defined that they log on to.. When I log on using my id and password, I do not see "My Computer" on the desktop. When the other person logs on, there is no problem. I see the drives, my computer on the desktop.
