When i try to boot my winxp computer i get an error saying:
canont find file:
<systemroot>\system32\hal.dll
please re-install a copy of this file.

My message title pretty much speaks for itself - When I attempt to set
Program Access and Defaults, there are three options:* Microsoft Windows    
*Non-Microsoft     (and)   *Custom. My machine will NOT stay on ANY setting
but Custom. I have troubleshot this problem to the point ...

I am running XP Home and everytime I boot up I get an error message "error
