In the event viewer files "system" I keep getting an error code #7000
indicating that the "Print port scanner driver service" fails to start. I do
not have a scanner attached to the computer at this time.
How do I disable this service or put it on manual,so the error stops

I have a CD with many fonts which I want to view easily. I know I can
double-click at one font at a time OR install them to C:\Windows\Fonts and
use say Word or Paint Shop Pro (which I do not want to do as I do not want to
keep them).

When i go into 'My Music' folder i can only see the thumbnails. There is no
title for the directory and no file names under the thumbnails.
Can anyone help?

I have added an external USB hard drive. It works fine. However, in My
Computer it does not show as a hard drive icon. It just shows as a square.
Is there any way I can change the icon for this drive? Thanks for any help.

After re-installing Windows XP on my old computer on a different drive (old

Whenever the pc is strated (restarted), the administrator account
automatically logs on. How can I change it so this doesn't happen? I usually
am logged on with a password protected account, but all anyone has to do is
restart the pc and they can use it.

I have a Windows XP Pro in my computer and I am using a mouse software from
ViewMate that works fine but the program install a icon in the system tray.

Just say i was downloading a file from the internet and i was browsing where
to save it. Now i realise that My recent documents, My documents and other
icons on the left hand side are missing the only one there is my network
places.

I just reinstalled XP Home SP2 and my programs.  Now it won't boot.
One of the messages I get is
