I had to reinstall my windows XP pro machine. Now I get an anoying ring
every time I close an app or if something else is occuring in backgound. For

Is there any way of limiting the size of folders to a certain size?  I have
four or five people use one PC and I would like to limit their My Documents
folder to sa 200Mb each.  I would also like to create other personal folders
with smaller size limits.

My icons on my taskbar keep hiding. I am constantly unchecking the box that
says, "Hide inactive icons" but it checks itself again and I still cannot see
my icons in my address bar.

I have a problem with some message boxes that appear in applications - the
font size is too big, so that the text can't all be viewed because the box is
too small for it and the box can't be resized.

I'm building XP pro pc's for a student computer lab. We have domains
for staff as well as faculty and use a security program called
deepfreeze on all student pc's. My question/problem is: Is there a way
to stop local profiles? Windows media player and all Office 2003 Suite

Is there a way to disable writing to a CD / DVD but still have the ability to
read the CD?
I was hoping to be able to configure this via a GPO or by altering the
registry.
