I have this one MS patch (KB886903) that won't install or go away so I can
re-download the patch in case the file is bad.
At shutdown, the message is that you have a file that needs to be installed

Recently (i.e. today) I am no longer able to minimize open windows to the
task bar.
They just completely disappear, although continue to run and can only be

When I select the 'Print' button in WPFV, the program pauses for an age and
then displays a preview window with thumbnails of all the JPGs and GIFs I
have ever printed (there are 800 of them) - these are obviously cached
somewhere.  I have tried deleting TEMP and TEMPORARY ...

I recently had a new hard drive installed.  For some reason the drive was
labeled "E".  I cannot load Norton Antivirus  because it can't find "C"
drive. How do I change drive letter in able to load software.

Hi. It would be great if I can get some help for this: As the title says, the
Event Viewer stopped logging events. The last event on Application is
18/05/2006 and the last one on System is 25/05/2006. Their max log size is
512kb however they are both also set to overwrite events ...

In the Windows XP "Startup" folder, is there a way to assign the order in
which the programs start durinig bootup?  From the startup folder I start
automatically MS Outlook and MS Excel and want Outlook to start before Excel
so that Excel is positioned on the taskbar to the right ...

I had so much trouble after installing SP2 that I reinstalled Xp and now have
a second Windows on my hard drive. I am running out of disc space on my hard
drive and would like to delete the second copy. Is there an easy way and what
would happen if I just deleted the folder ...

I went to sysinfo -> startup programs and it took a lot longer than it
should.  When if finally came up it showed hundreds of entries that were
duplicated.  It said they were coming from "NT AUTHORITY SYSTEM" and
".DEFAULT".

my pc hangs for no reason and erratic hanging ; both keyboard and mouse
hangs in air and i am losing all data as unable to do save. only way is
to reset using an external button
i have done defrag, registry cleaning, anti virus up-todate
