My home pc which is running XP Home SP2: When I go to the firewall in control panel, I am not allowed to make any changes. It is on (greyed out) and if I wanted to turn it off, I can't because it too is greyed out. Any thoughts??

Need help, about 3 weeks ago my "power scheme" stopped working. My settings are to Turn off monitor after 20 min, turn off hard disks after1 hr. Now the monitor doesn't turn off (sleep mode) after 20 mins. Any idea what it could be? Any help or tip will be appreciated.

When I had to repair XP, I lost the command for the WinExplorer shortcut that opens it with My Computer and C drive open, so I don't have to click on them to do so. Can someone help me with that? I found one that would go to C, but that didn't open "My Computer" as well.

i wanted to change the default icon of folders so i opened tools>folder options then clicked file types, then i selected the (file folder) extention and clicked advanced and changed the icon but after i did that every time i double click a folder the search window opens that's ...

I am looking for ways to reduce the amount of space taken up on my boot drive. I have noticed that there are often many copies of what appears to be the same file in various directories on that drive. I am using Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2.
