I've got a strange thing happening on my XP Pro machine with 2 GB of RAM. After about 1.2 GB of commited virtual memory I cannot start any new program, open new files in already open programs etc. Usually no error messages appears, newly opened programs just close again

When installing a program, the user often must choose whether to install for just the present user or "everyone." When the present user _is_ everyone--when only the owner uses the machine--which is the better choice and what difference does it make?

okay,sp2 automatically installs the volum shadow copy client.is there a way to prevent this or can i disable this client? i dont want to give ordinary user to posibility to see the previous versions tab or to let them restore these files.

I'll log the Remote Procedure Calls that are outgoing from my Outlook Client to the Exchangeserver. When i log the rpcs into a file (csv or whatever), there is a zero line, windows doesn't log the rpcs and says me, there were 0 rpcs.

I have installed service pack 2 and every thime it screws up my laptop so I uninstall it and the machine works fine. Now whenever I turn on my computer I get the message that service pack 2 is ready to be loaded.

I just installed sp2 for the hundreth time. So far everytime i do, i reboot (click Finish) and get to the Windows XP home splash screen (where you see the little blue (or green) progress bar animation) and it freezes. I then proceed to shutdown the computer via the power button ...
