Is there a way to stop the obnoxious "Windows cannot open this file" dialog
from popping up when selecting and unknown extension and cause Windows to

Cleaned out some apps in the startup list us MSConfig, and now my laptop no
longer boots.  I checked each app on www.sysinfo.org, and everything seemed
to be optional or not required, but I must have missed something.

I have a couple of programs that won't work and I think it is because of the
ODBC drivers.  (photoshop elements is one - when trying to open photos and
organize).
I have reinstalled XP SP2 patch. I have tried to download the drivers (v2.8)

This problem makes me so frustrated. On my Windows XP (SP2) machine, in
Control Panel -> Region and Language Options -> Advanced, the "Code
page conversion tables" list and "Language for non-Unicode programs"
list are both completely EMPTY!

I accidentally run into a adware program today.
While it is running and trying to set up a lot sub adware programs, I
immediately recognized it was a adware so I shutdown the Windows XP sp2

I cannot get the Safe Mode/ Command Prompt etc menu up when I press F8 at
start up. I can however press DEL which gets me into BIOS or F11 which gives

Does "settings" include all of the registry settings so that one can this
actually do an install??  So if I use FAST to move all of the files for a
program and also the settings for it, would that effectively accomplish an
install?
