I have hibernation enabled in Power Options, but when I try to shut down Windows XP
Corp, there is no hibernation choice.  Any suggestions to get this to work?

I'm repairing a Win XP sp2 machine and have removed an executable listed in
the "Services" menu in MSConfig. Computer is working properly now but would
like to clean the entry from the menu. Purged from registry but still listed
by MSConfig. How do I get rid of this thing?

Somewhere along the line I must've done something, but I cannot ping my
computer anymore and cannot connect via Remote Desktop. I've checked all the
settings I can think of, but I'm obviously missing something. Can anyone make
a suggestion?

I'm running Windows XP SP2. Starting this morning, Windows Media Player has
started loading as soon as Windows starts up; and if I close it, it loads
again a minute or so later. This goes on happening however many times I

I am going crazy with a clients XP SP2 laptop (IBM T30) where the
scree saver wont start. Doesnt matter which screen saver I choose, it
just wont start any of them.

The 'Portable Media Devices' folder is missing from the control panel
on my computer. I've had a look with Tweak UI and the icon is not being
hidden, so I don't know what's happening. I'm running WinXP Pro SP2
with everything up to date.

My services under Adminitrative Tools are not configured right. It worked
fine until I rebooted once. Now if I get the link in Outlook Express and it
