I recently purchased a new firewire card and am having a very hard time
installing it in Windows XP.  I have tried all of this in both SP1 and
SP2, with brand new installs of each, and the same exact issue exists

I have a program built on sybasesql and need the program to fully shutdown

I usually use performance monitor to see how fast my hard drives are copying
or reading files and to check download speed.  Now as I am copying a file or
folder, when I check the speed of read or write, it dispays 0 bytes/sec. on
all counters for the physical disks.

I have a program that is build on sybasesql and if Windows Updates are
configured to run at 3AM and auto reboots.  I need this program to shutdown
completely before Windows auto-shutdown and restarts.

Every time I start windows explorer the My Documents folder is open and it
takes up almost the entire page, leaving me no room to look at my hard
drives.  I would like to have all trees collapsed when I open explorer.
    Does anyone know how to do this?

Thank you for reviewing this post.  It is a hard one for me to describe.  
System in question is using XP Home.  
Remember WIN98 and Themes?  Remember the one with the haunted-looking house
and the sounds that accompanied it, the creaking door, etc?

  My problem is that, when I boot-up Win XP, it gets to the "blue screen"
background -- but fails to load the icons. However, I played with it long

I´d like to force a winxpsp2-system with 1gig RAM and a 40gig-hd
(25gig free) to have a pagefile with 3gig of size. This is nessecary
for a special cad-viewer.
The size is set via systemoptions (min=3072, max=3072) but the pagefile
