Replacing Explorer15 Feb 2007 04:19 GMT1
Is there any way to change default explorer.exe with a custom file
manager? I've been looking for a way to use a custom UI that I can add
to over time and decided to write my own, but would like it to work in
place of explorer.exe.

When I go into msconfig/setup I find an entry which is ticked which relates

Configure XP NOT to open context submenus until clicked12 Feb 2007 16:57 GMT4
It can be a minor annoyance at times when I right click somewhere

Release IP address?11 Feb 2007 04:27 GMT6
I use cable for internet.  I switch between two different machines.  Each
time I switch, the computer won't go online.  I have to turn the modem off,
unplug it, clear out all the temp and cache folders on the computer, then
plug the modem back in.  This is tedious.
Editing Backup Registry?11 Feb 2007 01:43 GMT6
As I understand it, the XP registry essentially consists of 5 database
files.  When a registry editor is started, it looks for those 5 files and
presents them to the user as a fairly familiar view.
When the registry is backed up, say by using the repair console to copy
