I get a strange error dialog when I go to the .chm files and try opening them. If I try to click on Help from within most programs, I get the hourglass for one second, then nothing.

I'm trying to use the backup in System Tools, but no matter what I do, it won't take the file name. I'm trying to back up to a DVD+R (yes it's a DVD writer) and no matter what I change the file name to it just won't take it. Anyone know what's going on? Here's the steps I take ...

Is there an XP utility that will unhide a partition in XP? My Windows XP Pro SP2 with all maintenance applied has DiskPart version 5.1.3565 installed. My 2003 server has version 5.2.3790, my Vista Ultimate has 6.0.6000 and lastly, Microsoft Downloads has version 1.

I'm stuck in Windows Classic view. When I go into the display/appearance page the only option I have is Windows Classic Style. If I try and load a different theme from the Themes page I get an error saying the Themes service isn't started.

I'd like to have some sort of .bat file which can change a particular network connection from taking a DHCP address to assigning itself one (like 192.168.123.123 for example), and vice versa. Any ideas on how to go about this? Would devcon work for this? Thanks very much!
