All, I have had a problem with my Anti-Virus software and it seems to have left a corrupt user on my system [1]. I can see the user from the Computer Management applet but when I try to delete it, my machine all but hangs.

I'm running windows xp sp2 an looking in the c:\windows directory, the first sub directory is the on above $hf_mig$. In looking at the contents of this directory I see all the windows updates in sub-directories.

Thanks in advance for the assist. I have a 2800 e-machine with 512 mb ram running WinXP. I am trying to change my wallpaper. I have selected Desktop Properties/Desktop. I can see the list of wallpaper but cannot scroll up or down, nor select any viewable wallpaper.

renamed msconfig.exe to msconfig.bak as spybot suggested it was a "bad" program...as soon as I renamed it it recreated msconfig.exe...but when I run msconfig from the start>run window it points at the .bak file.... Unable to delete the new msconfig.exe and rename .bak fast enough.
