I had to reinstall xp and now when I go to shut down I no longer have the option of going to standby which previosly i used to do and I do not know how to get back to that configuration help required

I have an XP Pro, SP2 Dell. In looking at the Add/Remove programs in Control Panel, i found an entry called "Engine". That's all it said. There was no other information. Does anybody know what that could be?
