I need install updates and reboot. I work remotely at several workstations and I cannot install the updates because it makes the computer shut down and I have to wait for someone to turn them back on for me. Is there a way around this?

I recently had to get a new hard drive and clean slate. The guy who did the work for me spelled my name wrong in a couple of places and it's driving me nuts. When I click on System, it says Registered to xxxxxx and it's spelled wrong. How do I fix this?
