Running under my name (as an administrator) I don't show my desktop icons.
When I right-click on the desktop and go to "arrange icons by" I don't have
the option to show icons at all. Not there. In fact the other ...

Last night my computer was forced to shut down improperly
due to power failure. There after when I restarted my
computer it went to regular scaning and made some file
recovered but it could not load my previous profile.

When I turn on my computer, the SYSTEM32 folder
automatically opens. How do I stop this?

Does anyone know how to stop the computer locking when it
goes into standby mode in XP?  I would like to disable
this "computer lock" option.  Thanks

I put my old Hard Drive (HD) into my new comp.  I
expected an easier time of settings/file xfer.  I tried
to transfer all my e-mails in Outlook Express from my old
HD D:\(has Win 98) to my new HD C:\(Win XP Pro).  Both

is there any way that i can have different resolution
settings for the different accounts that i use. I am

im trying to install the virtual desktop manager in the
powertoys XP but once i install it, it doesnt appear
anywhere so i cant use it. i check in the start menu, the
quickstart bar and the taskbar. the other powertoys like

I have my Power settings as such:
Power schemes: Portable/laptop (mine is a desktop)
Turn off monitor: after 15 mins
Turn off hard disks: after 20 mins

There are now 7 people making use of the "Switch User" facility on this
computer. Often resources get bogged down by the numerous programs left
running.  Is it possible to automate the closing of specific, non-critical
programs as part of the "Switch User" process?

iMac's have this interesting feature that changes the desktop everyday
by rotating wallpaper.  Does XP have anything similar?

My start menu will not allow any setting other than
Windows classic.  Any ideas on why my "Start Menu" option

I have XP and a turtle beach santa cruz sound card. I
want to turn off all sounds that occur as windows &
programs open, close etc. I have gone into sounds,
settings and chosen "no sounds" and applied and restarted

I am using Window XP SP1 with IE 6.0 SP1
I find Some problem on my PC, Every When I go to IE do anything  waiting
about 30 MINS,
