Help.  I cannot find the recycle bin icon anywhere.  It
is not on the desktop and I cannot find it in the system
to add it back to the desktop.  Can anyone help?

Trying to change my desktop background.
Right Click on Desktop, click on Properties, click
on "Desktop" Tab and then the "Display Properties" box
closes itself and I'm back to an empty desktop.

Can anyone tell me the best way to back up user profiles? I like to
re-install Windows about every 6-8 months to keep it running fast. I have
tried copying just the user directories, but this doesn't seem to work. Is
there a way to retain ALL user info (passwords, OE and IE info) ? ...

Does any one know if there are shortcut keys to turn on
your screen saver? Without waiting for it to automatically
start, based upon your display settings.

I have XP Professional and up until today when I went into
My Computer I had the FOLDERS, HARDRIVES, and REMOVABLE
DISKS grouped together seperatly with labels above them
listed in text.

On my machine at work Windows remembers passwords, google
remembers what searches I'd done before, etc.
My laptop,, also running XP won't do any of the above. I
check "remember password" but next time it still doesn't.

Bought new 17" LDC monitor with 1280x1024 resolution.
Tried to customize font sizes to make them more readable.
Adjusted all font sizes, and also increased DPI to 120.
Turned on ClearType font improvement.

Another "feature", I'm sure, but when I change the icon
spacing (either horizontally or vertically) and then hit
OK, the icons firmly stay in their original spacing on
the desktop.  Am I missing a command somewhere?

My daughter has a series of Barbie games that does not
work with XP, I suppose there are some driver like

I have XP home edition. I'm not sure what the name of
this function is and maybe I have it turned off but I
want my system to remember common fields, ie: e-mail
address and name and such I always have to type it in

My new DELL 8500 has 1600x1200 resolution.
IF Font is set to 120 DPI fonts look great BUT gfx on IE
look crappy. NETSCAPE gfx look great so there is a
possible fix.

I can't see any of the running programs in the Windows
taskbar, it's like the area where the programs are
grouped just dissapeared, I can see the taksbar if I have

Yesterday I downloaded an upgrade to Windows XP.  Since
then when I turn on my computer at the beginning of the
day it shows me a screen with personal user icons.  Before
that when I turned on my computer it would go directly to

I cannot change the screen saver minutes. On some screen
savers, the minutes selection is not enabled. On other
screen saver selections, the default is 14 minutes. I can
change it to other minutes, such as 5 minutes, hit OK,
