Can get folders default view as small icons12 Sep 2003 23:10 GMT1
In the "Control Panel" "Folder Options" "View" tab,
the "Apply to All Folders" buttons is always shaded.
As a result I cannot configure Windows XP professional to
display by default the icons of a folder as small icons,

I don't like, want, or use the "My Pictures" folder.  
Never have, never will.  The same is true for "My
Music", "My Downloads", etc.
I've been trying to permanently delete these folders for

Running XP Pro I cant get the desktop themes to stay put
after I log off.  After choosing an XP theme, the
screen/taskbar change and stay that way until I log off
the LAN.  When I log off, the screen/taskbar revert back

When I press CTRL-ALT_DEL and get the Windows Security
window, I press the Task Manager button.  The window that
comes up contains individual processes that are running.  
There aren't any tabs along the top for Applications,

i went to the preferences section to change from the
classic to the start menu. however, even though the way in
which the start menu opens is the same, the entire bar is
not green and my account icon, etc... are not displayed.

just installed a used maxtor 80gb hd. was already
formated with fat32. maxtor 3 software states to use xp.
i need to know how to get rid of the partition on this
second drive then set two partitions with one being ntfs

This must sound very simple to you all but I seriously
can't double click on a folder with out search
companioning comeing on. I just want it to be like the
old days when I could double click on some thing and it

is gone ( no 90degrees corners but round shaped corners)
please my firends if someone knows how to bring them back
