I am on a new computer, having my old one with XP Pro on
it.
My new one has some new XP features that I want to get
rid of.  I noticed on my old XP Pro system, that if you

I'm trying to solve the following problem:
I've got a brand new HP that has only one app installed
(it happens with any app though).  The cpu won't go above
50% as if some setting in XP prevents it.

I have my XP(home) taskbar on the left side of my screen
instead of at the bottom.
Eveytime I reboot the pc, the taskbar gets smaller.
Locking the taskbar to its desirable width does not help;

Hello I'm writing for some help here. My screen saver
won't come on anymore. The timer is a 0 min., gray not

A short time ago, I lost all my tray icons. At first I
thought this was an explorer.exe lockup, and rebooted. But
still, they haven't gone back. I think I may have changed
a setting somewhere, since I can't tab Hide Inactive

How is it possible to inform Windows XP that the hardware
clock store UTC time and not local time ?

   I currently have autoplay completely turned off
(registry `hack'). However this is not ideal, Windows
seems to get confused when changing CDs. One can get
around this and it is better than having autoplay run a

I installed 4 programs under my original user name
account that I would like to change to another user
account.  How do I do that without uninstalling the
programs and installing them again.  These are programs I

I'm the administrator and my wife has a Limited account
on our machine.
I'm trying to set folders to "Make this folder private"
through the Sharing Properties, but it's always grayed

I have windows xp and the task bar has some how doubled
in size.  I try to drag it down to a normal size and it
disappears.  It's double tall and I don't like it.

My computer currently has the ME operating system.  I would
like to install and run the XP operating system.  How do I
go about doing this?  Will I run two operating systems at
one time?  Do I need to back up all my files?  Some one
