Hello friends.
The scrolldown on the adress-bar is a kind of log. How can I delete it? Is
it possible to configure the number of hits to be shown? All in the name of

I have just loaded XP for the first time (clean install).  
File explorer does not display the connecting lines of the
directory tree when you click to expand.  I tried Windows
classic scheme - same issue.  Does anyone have any ideas

I am running XP and my task bar is not auto hiding.  I
have autohide turned on and lock the taskbar is turned
off.  If I turn off auto-hide and click ok.  The screen
moves up a little bit as normal.  When I click auto-hide,

I'm trying to get my computer in the US International
mode. I go to START>CONTROL PANAL>REGIONAL & LANGUAGE...
but when I hit the LANGUAGE TAB>DETAILS I do not have the
option of a US International keyboard selection. Can

At the end of the upgrade install XP asked for names of PC
users. I entered these and now the PC always prompts for
user name. Is there any way to disable this feature (so

My Control Panel icon on my Quick Launch Toolbar is not working.  I get an
hourglass for a few seconds and then it goes away.  The same happens when I
click on Control Panel from the Start button.

im trying to get passwords for certain files and
foldersand the onlyway it says you can do that is if you
compress them. i have done that but the password option
never comes up.

I just purchased a new computer with windows xp on it.  
When I go to view many online webpages, the page itself
does not fully cover the viewing area of the browser.  My
other two computers, both using windows 98, sizes the

I downloaded a windows tweak toy and when using it, I
somehow erased all the shortcuts/ links in my start
menu.  Is there any way to restore it without creating
shortcuts one by one?  Any helpwould be great!

I have Windows XP Home Edition.  Windows insists on
creating folders called "My eBooks" and "My Music" in my
C:\ folder and My Documents folder.  Every time I try to
delete them, they come back a couple days later, like

When you right click on a Desktop item in either
Windows XP or ME, you get a pop up box with mutlitple
choices including "Open With". Is there anyway to control
the options in the first box as well as the "Open With"
