How can I prevent the documents folder to open at system
start? there is no refrence to this folder in
>Start>Programs>Startup.

I've spent a lot of time creating my own desktop icons, and I'm
annoyed
by the 'Hand' overlay Windows applies to indicate sharing status on my
LAN. They partially obscure my artwork. Is there a way to

Instead of right clicking the start-button bar to
get "show desktop" I would love a little icon/shortcut in
the lower right corner to select. Does one exist?
I want this to go right to the desktop.

I have to define the action for my CD player to take when a music CD

instead.  New computer, new to XP; didn'r realize the
automatic desktop cleanup was set to run.  MANY icons

If I got into Computer Manager and go to the services part
and disable and stop Help and Support, I can go back in
after restarting my computer and it's started and set to
automatic.  How do I permanently disable this?

When I duble click folders, they no longer open.  They go
into the search mode.  When I right click on a
folder, "search" is listed first in bold, then open.  So
I currently have to right click and then go to open just
