Only a single users, and when I do a clean install it has no user log on but after a few day comes up with the log on that will not let me in, no log on Icon. So how can I make change so that I boot direct into XP

I just got the cable router hooked to the W98 pc and the wireless card in the slot on the XP laptop, both are online without problems. Now are there any special issues for networking the 2 OS's so I can move stuff back and forth?
