Im running XP Professional and just got a question
regarding those anoying "My" folder.
Is there any way to permanently remove the "My Music", "My
Pictures", "My Recived Files", etc.

Is there a way to set the all user folder to NEVER be
used?? When someone else installs something on the
computer under their name I do not want it in my start
menu when I log in. I know some programs are nice enough

Every time I reboot the file "FAT32" and all it's folders
show up on my desktop. How can I eliminate this and just
have desktop show up on start-up??

The background color for my applications (e.g. a new
Outlook email message, internet pages) is grey.  I want
to change it to white.  How do I do this?

when i drag a window, the window or box leaves a trail on
the screen which i'd like to get rid of. how do i do this?

I am runing XP pro on a latop and I have external hard drive (via firewire)
and all works well. My internal HD is almost full and I have loaded some
programs onto the external HD which is only formated in NTFS. I have created
a file on this HD called 'program files" but when I chose ...

Everytime I change the "view" to list, the next time I go
to the drive or the folder, it's back to "details" view.  
How can I make "list" my default view.  Lame question.

Anyone knows how to change the font size on the "Start" button itself ?

When I right click on the task bar and select
toolbars/windows media player nothing happens.  Media
Player minimizes to a normal button on the taskbar
instead of the mini-mode control panel.

Hello All. When I right click on my desktop, I have many catagories under
"New". For example, Win Zip File, Text Document, Wave Sound and many others.
I would like to get rid of most of them. How can I do this?. Thanks in
