For some reason, I have no screen saver tab or directory
in my settings for display.  Is there a way to disable and
thus reenable this setting or do I need to reload Windows
XP?

I noticed that some websites I add to my favorites list display a
personalized icon, which is somewhat cool. However, these always dissappear
after a few days, replaced by Windows's standard icon for html files  :( .
Is there a way to have those customized icons "stick" in place?

I have a pane that has suddenly appeared on my desktop,
it is about 2 inches wide and is from top to bottom on

How can I use the same desktop on my laptop when I sign
in at work or at home? I do use two differenet user
profile as I need to access my office LAN but not at home.

When I put the computer on standby it turns back on
without pressing the wakeup. Why doesn't it continue on
standby until I wake it up? All the settings are
at "never".

I have checked in my Startup folder and it does not list
all of the programs that start automatically on my machine.
How do I disable these programs that launch automatically
and appear on the right side of my applications running bar?
