everything on my windows xp is tiny the web pages dont
come out normal size the icons on the toolbar are tiny
nothing is normal. we had to reinstall windows xp and now

I have done something to remove the background screen during boot up, and shut down.  Now I get a screen that changes, and tells me what it is doing.   Things such as "playing start up sound" etc.  Same thing happens when it shuts down.  Any ideas on how to change back to ...

I've been tweaking my desktop icon spacing, and now, no matter how high I
set the horizontal and vertical spacing, the icons do not budge 1 pixel.

I've always been puzzled by the idea behind getting an image of a
drive/partition/volume.
I know you can restore any of those by using an image of it, but what if I
format that particular partition? When I do that, it's because I've found a
