I installed a secondary monitor on my laptop but the image
is shifted to the left half a screen.  I can't access
display properties because I get the message "The
application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\System32\desk.cpl is not a

Help...I've lost my browser address window.  How do I get
it back?  I can't enter a URL address nor does the URL
address show when I do go to a new website (via
favorites).

Hi.  I can't change my home page.  When I go in through
control panel to internet options, general tab, the home
page area is blacked out.  If I try to change it while in
Internet Explorer, it says there are restrictions in

Hi, I recently installed a driver update from Windows Update for my network
card, and it deleted my network connections and got rid of the LAN
connection icon in the notification area. I have rolled back the driver, got
connection back, but I don't have the notification icon back ...

At our company somebody created a custom install of the logon screen so that
when Ctrl-Alt-Del screen a company BMP in the background comes up that is
different from the regular background wallpaper.  This was done on NT and
now it's my turn to do this on Windows XP Pro.

I can't find a way to get OE to run on boot-up. It's  not
listed in "start-up" and doesn't look like there are any
options for this in OE's tools/options box. I was able to
do this with Win98. I'm currently running XP Home with
