There is a registry setting for turning on shutdown messages, but I cannot
find a reference to it on the web. Can someone point me to it?

  How do you change the startup and shutdown splash
screens in windows xp/2000 server,etc? Are they all the
same? how about editing the bios startup screen? "Like

When I click on the Start, menu appear starting from the bottom, Shut down,
Run, Help and Support, Search, Setting, Documents, Favorites, and Program. I
would like eliminate Documents from the menu. Could someone tell me how to
accomplish this? I use Window XP Professional.

Could someone please e-mail me, and let me know how to
add programs to the programs button in the start menu.  I
had to re-install XP (again) and it doesn't recognize

I have some shortcuts to folders in various directories
for convenience's sake -- for example, I have a link to
my cover letter folder in My Documents, since I use it
all the time.  If I didn't have the shortcut, I'd have to

When I start up my computer, Outlook Express takes forever to load.  I can't
find a thing wrong.  Everything else is great.  I'm using Norton Antivirus
200.  I uninstalled it but still had the same problem with OE.  Any

me choose to use one of them. It's really wierd because
it let me before I reformatted my hard drive but now it
