I accidentally erased the desktop/minimize all windows
icon from my quicklaunch task bar.  You would think this
would be easily replaced, but I cannot figure out how to
reinsert this shortcut onto the quicklaunch task

I installed and removed a file association for the "file
folder" (or maybe it was the "folder") file type.  The
only default association listed was "search".  I removed
the added associations in the registry, but now "search"

I created a .wav file to be played when windows starts.  
The file is about 4 megs and lasts about 15 seconds.  
When windows starts the .wav file always stops abruptly

i click on start then programs and while on the programs
menu, i have to either click on the double arrows or place
my mouse over the double arows for 3 seconds for the menu
to expand, please tell me how to leave it already expanded

I'm using an ATI Radeon 7000 series video card with two
monitors.  There aren't two separate ports on the back of
the card, but it did come with a Y-adapter that makes it
possible to connect two monitors in an extended desktop

anando,
i spent the better part of a day trying to repair a "file
action" problem i created unintentionally. i finally did
a work-around. your suggestion to frank fixed it

My desktop icons/folders have a background around the
text.  I went to the Display Properties and tried to
change the appearance.  I don't know if I'm missing
something, but nothing seems to work.  Would anyone know
