I accidentally erased the desktop/minimize all windows
icon from my quicklaunch task bar.  You would think this
would be easily replaced, but I cannot figure out how to
reinsert this shortcut onto the quicklaunch task

I installed and removed a file association for the "file
folder" (or maybe it was the "folder") file type.  The
only default association listed was "search".  I removed
the added associations in the registry, but now "search"

I created a .wav file to be played when windows starts.  
The file is about 4 megs and lasts about 15 seconds.  
When windows starts the .wav file always stops abruptly
before it finishes.  Is there a way to get it to play

How do I change the drive letters for cd rom, smart media
etc?

Is there any way to have my computer make a sound when a
certain website has been updated?  Thanks!

i click on start then programs and while on the programs
menu, i have to either click on the double arrows or place
my mouse over the double arows for 3 seconds for the menu
to expand, please tell me how to leave it already expanded

I have set up one folder to be in detail view, arranged

i used to have this xp program which applied different
themes for you, it was only a trial and time ran out. So
i uninstalled and then i tryed chaing theme using the
appearance and theme in control panel and when i changed

I'm using an ATI Radeon 7000 series video card with two
monitors.  There aren't two separate ports on the back of
the card, but it did come with a Y-adapter that makes it
possible to connect two monitors in an extended desktop

Does anybody know how to set up internet shortcuts on
desktop or favorites url's that when I click it it opens
in a new window and not in one I already have opened? It
would really make internet browsing easier for me!

i spent the better part of a day trying to repair a "file
action" problem i created unintentionally. i finally did
a work-around. your suggestion to frank fixed it

My desktop icons/folders have a background around the
text.  I went to the Display Properties and tried to
change the appearance.  I don't know if I'm missing
something, but nothing seems to work.  Would anyone know
