i was messing around with services.msc and lost my xp
style for the taskbar and appearance. i only have classic
view now. how do i get it back?

What is the best way to operate XP for fast performance
without all of the unessential components?  I have used
msconfig to eliminate things that don't "sound" essential
but it's really guess work-- and that can be dangerous

I have my PC set to "details" view in "My Computer".
Whenever I open Internet Explorer Ver 6, the details view
in the "My Computer" menu change to tiles. ???  This is a
glitch that I can repeat every time... anyone else notice

When I reboot windows...it reverts to 640x480 resolution
every time.  I am always manually changing it to
1024x768.  Any suggestions?

WOuld someone please suggest a way I could add a few custom locations on my
disk (e.g. C:\Songs OR D:\Games ) to the Other Places section in the
sidebar?

Can anyone help? Running XP Home Edition I want to change my Desktop Icons
so that the shortcuts don't have the little arrow in the bottom corner.
I have Mcafee's "Nuts & Bolts" that I used with Windows 98, I could remove
the arrows with that, but not with XP.

I want to add active desktop to my system, and i know in

rebooted and the whole Windows display was rotated 90
degrees.
Now the display setting can only be 768x1024, can't
