Does anyone know where wallpaper files are stored on the
system?  My wife created my wallpaper picture from our
digital camera directly.  She forgot to save the photo
onto the harddrive before she deleted them from the

When I rename my desktop icons they hold fine until I log
off and back on agian. All the system icons return to
default, My Computer, My Network Places, etc.

Basically what I'm looking to have is a small tool bar on
the right side of my desktop running vertically that will
hold links to about 5 applications.  I don't want to put
shortcuts on the background because I don't like looking

I need to know how to put the hightlight in back of the
desktop icons the words below them I me, so they will
permanently have a color behind them. Can anyone help me
set this up?

When I type in www.CDW.co, I get a generic page which says the DNS server
might be down - but it's not.  This only happens on my computer - and it's

During processes that use processor a lot, i noticed that in the TASK
MANAGER a red line appears on the cpu performace graph.
I've never seen this behavior on other machines, and no tutorials or FAQs is

I have a folder MSN Gaming Zone in Program Files which is empty apart from
an empty subfolder "Windows." It cannot be deleted ecause the subfolder is
said to be in use by another person or program. I would like to tidy it up.

When XP starts up it doesn't automatically go to XP it
waits for you to piuck a user.  I am wanting it to
automatically log itself in so if the computer rebbots I
don't have to choose a user it auto does it.  I ask this
