I am a fairly advanced user and do plenty of tweaking to
my system.  I am familiar with editing the registry and
do it regularly as needed.
One issue which is bothersome which I cannot determine

My neighbour has a new system(Time) with XP Home Edition. I noticed that she
is running XP on FAT32. I always thought that this was not possible. Does XP
not need NTFS? My C Drive & D (Backup) are both NFTS. The E Drive (Recover)
is FAT32.

Is there a way to change the image on the Welcome Screen?  
I'm not talking about the individual images for each
user.  I know how to change those.  I'm trying to figure
out if I can have an image surrounding the login names.

I had problems with my DBX files, that contain e-mails
from OUTLOOK  EXPRESS.  I finally figured out how to get
them back into OUTLOOK  EXPRESS.

I always used a lot of custom key shortcuts to launch my
programs, like CTRL+ALT+U for opening msn messenger.
Now after upgrading to msn messenger 6.1 my shortcut is
changed and I cant reuse ctrl+alt+u.

reinstall disk, and now the standby option is greyed out

I have a IBM 300PL, PII, 450Mhz machine. I would like to install XP Plus and
run the screen savers there. Unfortunately, it seems video ram reqs. are at
least 16Mg for these little gems. My machine being so old I believe has
built-in AGP with 4Mg video ram.

Does anyone knows why does my double-click on any folders
triggers off Search instead of Explore? When I do a right
click on the folder, the top sequence of my right-click
menu becomes Search..., Explore, Open.

Can someone help me with folder shortcuts? The shortcuts
that I create do not open the folders that they point to.
Whenever I create a shortcut to any folder and double

I use the "My Music" subfolder of "My Documents" to store my .mp3 files.
Because this is a "music" folder, when I right click in the folder and
choose "arrange icons by" I can sort the files by name, size, artist, album
title, track duration, etc. I often like to sort the files ...
