I'd like to remove the underline in the icon titles on my desktop, but don't know how. I've tried Display Properties/Appearance on the XP desktop, but there's nothing that seems to control the underlining of a font.

Is there a registry setting or some other way to control the size of the bitmaps which Windows XP displays as the thumbnail representation of image files? I'd like to make them all twice as large if I can.

I just changed my wallpaper to one with a mainly white background, and the color of the font under my icons continues to be white with that black shadowing, which makes things a little hard to look at.
