Right clicking the Start Menu Button no longer gives me
any menu. Items listed in C:\Documents and
Settings\John\Start Menu and C:\Documents and
Settings\All Users\Start Menu folders do not appear in

Using Windows XP Home edition.  After selecting 'show
window contents while dragging' on the display
properties / appearance/ effects tab, contents are
visivle while dragging, but the setting (and check mark)

The Icons on my Desktop are gone. I think a Virus took
them off.  I tried to add them through "Customize
Desktop" (on Properties)but nothing works.  When I went
in they were all checked, so I un-checked them, re-booted

I am setting up my Home XP to have a user for each family
member.   I would like to know how to establish rues in
Internet Explorer to restrict each user differently.  I

I've just installed XP Professional on my laptop and
can'twork out how to stop windows refreshing the entire
page whenever I scroll using the arrows or page up/down.

Every time i un-check (Animate windows when minimizing and
maximizing)everything is fine until i restart my
computer...then i realize that my windows are animating
minimizing and maximizing...now i just found out that

Why, when I look at the Properties for a drive, am I not seeing the Autoplay
tab mentioned in Window XP help? I want to turn off the 'feature' that
causes a drive window to open whenever I insert an audio CD, but as yet
haven't found the option to do this.

My xp is setup with multiple users. most programs will
not run the same for all users. how can i get an
installed program to work equally across the board?
