I tried to get an answer to this over at the "help & support" group but no
answer. Maybe someone can shed some light on this. I'm stumped.

I right clicked on "Start" and "open". I then double-click on "programs" and

Whenever I create a new desktop shortcut, a second,
duplicate icon appears on the desktop. If I move either
to the Recysle Bin, the remining shortcut is disabled.
How do I prevent these duplicate icons from being created?

We have 4 people on our computer, but I'm the only one
who can get on to the internet. I am the main user. the
rest are my husband & kids. do I need to set them up

I need to switch users so more than one person can use
the computer without logging-off.
When I go to log-off there is no option to switch users.
Can someone help?

Lately when I open Internet Explorer it always loads in
restore mode and I want it to load maximized. How can I
get that to happen? I am computer literate and have
worked in the registry if that helps.

Hello, I downloaded a prog yesterday to change my icons to look like
windows 2000. But it didn't seem to work (and the read me wasn't much
help) so I uninstalled it. Anyhow it has left me with the Control Panel
icon missing.

Why is it that I must open my player to hear the ardio
prnounciation of a word. it seems to me that I could
just "click" the speaker button an it would play.

I changed the screen resolution from 800 X 600 to 1024 X
768 - now when I change it back to 800 X 600 (which I

I re-installed Windows XP Pro,and now Clear Type doesn't
work. I turned it on, chose the text sample,
clicked "apply", but the text didn't change. Does anybody

Hello everyone, I just recently had to upgrade my HD and copy alot of info
over afterwards.

How do I move the "Taskbar" from the right side of the
display to bottom of the display?  I searched for an
option and tried to drag the taskbar at diffrent
