I want to be able to add characters from any language on special
occasions by opening up a dialog box and using my mouse to click on the
accent i want. how can i setup my WinXp Pro to do that?

I have never set up a new user account with XP
Professional.  I now want to create two new accounts but
still want to access all my files and settings from the
original administrator account and be able to do it from

When I want to map a drive on my machine, I am offered a choice of drive
letters which always start with Z, and not the first available drive
letter as was the case which previous iterations of Windows.
Anything I can do about this?

I like the windows XP theme, but is there a way to make the task bar smaller
(other than locking it) ? Also there are lots of toolbars that are big,
start button is huge... I really want to make the most of my screen, so I
want to make things a bit smaller than they are... any tips?

I am trying to put a carriage return in the LegalNoticeText string in the
registry on a Windows XP system.
I've tried using the NT and 2000 steps of adding 0D00 and 0A00 in binary,
but neither of these work.

I have two monitors running as an expanded desktop but my
tool bar only shows on the primary monitor. Is there any
way to get it to go across both monitors.
SideNote question?: is there anyway to assign which

I can change the My Computer, My Network Places, and
Recycle Bin icons, but they just go back to the default
icons upon rebooting.  Any ideas why this would happen?

I followed the instructions in the Help Center for adding
the command to print a directory to the Folder Options.
This involved typing some script into WordPad and saving
the file as prin.bat in the Windows folder.

I just bought a new computer that has Windows XP installed. On my old
computer (Windows 98SE), I had Windows Explorer opening up to a screen that
showed the C drive and then all the directories then  the other drives.
Right now it open with the Desktop Listing with My Computer  down ...
