I have been searching for some weeks now, for a way to
change the Windows system time from GMT (example 1:02am)
to BMT Internet Time (example @155 beats).

i accidentally moved the "show desktop" icon onto the
desktop and then i deleted it because i didnt want it
there. so now the link in the quick launch doesnt work.
does anyone know how to get it back on the quick launch??

My Computer Window or Explorer Window dissolves back to
the desktop without provocation.  This is annoying when I
am copying, moving, renaming, or deleting files.  Is

My user profile will not load on startup.  There is a
message saying that my profile may be corrupted.  The
default admin profile is loaded instead and windows
installer is automatically loaded.  I am still able to go

I have an xp box that will not retain display resolution

The pictures in the MY PICTURES folder are not listed on

I copied shortcuts from the start menu to the desktop.  
When I logged back in there were two shortcuts for each
application (two for Word, two for Adobe etc).  When I
erased one, the other shortcut did not work!
