I wanted to put a shortcut on my desktop to an item on the web. However when I right clicked, I saved it to my desk top. How do I remove the item which is a picture now on my desk top? Thank you for your help.

When I'm away from the computer too long it sends me back to the user log in screen. How can I stop it from doing that..........PLEASE HELP........it's driving me crazy.
