The "My Computer" special systems folder had a very
special display of its contents that was attractive and
organized the devices into clear labeled categories. This
has disappeared; now it dispalys like all other folders

In windows 2000 I could increase the size of the
quicklaunch toolbar in windows XP home I haven't figured
out how. Is it possible to have more then three icons
visible?

I have set up a new profile on XP for my wife, which also
meant I had to also set up her Outlook Express for her
seperately as we used to have both of our email addresses
on the one account.

How can I get the seconds to show up in the time? I have
played around in the regional and language options in the
control panel, and I can successfully get 24 hour time,
but I can't get the seconds to be displayed, any help?

conclusuions
1) its another xp bug (that btw sp2 does not fix actually it starts it
2) because the isue has been within the last 2 month at most means its

i was trying to install a printer onto my computer and
must of clicked on something that has made all of my desk
top icons to dissapear, i have looked on the desk tops of
other users on my computer and they are still all there

Does anyone know how to keep desktop icons distinct for
each user account?  Right now many icons appear in both,
when I would like them to appear in only one account.

All if the sudden all of my windows come up as realy
small. Like a 1 inch box in the left hand corner. How do I

Could someone please tell me how I can make a STARTUP DISK
that will then provide access to my CD drive so I can
reinstall Windows from the original Window XP CD if and
when my computer crashes and I no longer have access to

Somehow I have the explorer bar (that has folder tasks,
other places, and details) showing on my desktop. It
moved my icons over and takes about 1/4 of my left
screen. I cannot find a way to remove it from my desktop.

I would like to attach certain sound files to hotkeys on
my keyboard.  How do I do this?
