I installed WinXP on my old laptop. I noticed many times light of HD
is lightning and computer slows down. Is there a way to increase
buffer of HD? Any other ideas how to inject stereoids to old laptop?

The windows xp theme comes up wrong. The start bar is
black, some windows are transparant and you cant see check
boxs etc. Can anyone help?

I somehow managed to get these annoying white shadows on

How do I prevent this from happening? It is not really a

Can't seem to get Explorer to retain my chosen settings for
a folder view (e.g., details, thumbnails, etc.) It just
